Harnack and Klein Research School

This school will take place from September 14th to 18th, 2026 at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1. It will be held in the Fontannes amphitheater of the Darwin building on the Doua campus, opposite the Braconnier building dedicated to mathematics, see the access map tab on the left. The program includes four four-hour mini-courses and four scientific presentations.

The mini-courses will be given by:

  • Michele Ancona (University Côte d'Azur, France)
  • Olivier Benoist (CNRS, École normale supérieure, France)
  • Ilia Itenberg (Sorbonne university, France)
  • Lena Ji (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA)


The research talks will be given by:

  • Liana Heuberger  (Aix-Marseille University)
  • Özgür Kişisel (Middle East Technical University of Ankara, Turkey)
  • Sabrina Pauli (Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany)
  • Anne Pichon (Aix-Marseille University)

 This school will be the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in real and tropical algebraic geometry, its probabilistic aspects, and its links with complex geometry and singularity theory.
